7 Kurdish prisoners held under detention since 6 years ago
Urmiye: Seven Kurdish prisoners of conscience, who are under detention since more than six years ago, are held in undecided conditions in various prisons in the country. According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), seven Kurdish prisoners named Davud Abdullahi, Kamran Sheikhi, Farhad Salimi, Anvar khezri, Khosrow Besharat, Qasem Absteh, and Ayoub Karimi, who were arrested in 2009, after more than six years of detention still remain in an indeterminate status. The seven activists were arrested in 2009 on charges of acting against national security through religious activities. They were under interrogation for 2 months in Urmiye (Orumiyeh) intelligence office cells in Iranian Kurdistan, and were under detention and ill-treatment and then about six months were held in Mahabad prison. According to this report, these prisoners in Mahabad prison in Iranian Kurdistan were ill-treated because of not accepting their charges. These prisoners later spent a month and a half in prison of Urmiye and then six months in ward 350 of Evin Prison. Finally, these prisoners were sent to ward 4, hall 10 of Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj. According to the same report, two of these detainees were summoned to Branch 28 of Tehran Revolutionary Court to hold the trial, on 19th October. A Kurdish prisoner committed suicide in Saqez
Saqiz: One of the Kurdish prisoners in central prison in Saqez committed suicide. This was due to so called refraining from announcing the verdict. According to Kurdpa News in Saqez in Iranian Kurdistan (Rojhelat) a 33 years old Kurdish prisoner, named Khalid Shexi not while ago committed suicide in his cell. This prisoner has spent the last 3 months in prison. However Iranian judiciary do not release the verdict for this prisoner. One of Shexi’s relatives while confirming this news has also said that during the middle of last week a Revolutionary Court in Mahabad issued a summon for Khalid. He opposed the fact that the final verdict was not issued by the court and also due to remaining in custody for no reasons, he stabbed himself and committed suicide. A Kurdish young man was shot dead in Iranian Kurdistan near Turkish border
Military forces shot a Kurdish citizen in the west Azerbaijan Province in Iranian Kurdistan (Rojhelat). Kurdpa news said that Mustafa Nouri, 27 years old young Kurdish man, has lost his life immediately after being shot. This incident occurred Sunday evening October 25, 2015, 5 Km away from Turkish border in Chaldoran region. According to Kurdpa , border military forces tied Mustafa’s body to an automobile and dragged him to military base (garrison) in the border region. Intelligent service in Kermashan has put a political activist under pressure
Kermashan: A Kurdish family in Kermashan in Iranian Kurdistan are summoned to intelligent service on daily basis. According to Kurdpa newshe family of Ehsan Fatahi a Nationalistic-Religious activist has recently been under intimidation and pressure by security forces. Due to a constant detention and summoned by security forces Ehsan Fatahi had to flee Iran. According to the same associates this family have faced further illtreatment from Iranian intelligent service. They have been told to bring Ehsan back to the country. Intelligent office has also threatened the brother of this political activist he was told that he would be dismissed from work if Ehsan not returning to the country. In June this year intelligent officers in Kermashan raided house of Ehsan’s brother and arrested him for being in contact with Ehsan. Ehsan Fatahi is an electrical engineer, Arabic literature and shafei religion (a branch of Sunni)graduate . He has also Written and published numbers of book. He (Ehsan) has already spent 17 months in prison in Kermashan. He has once again appealed for support of himself and his family by international organization. kurdpa.net | Ekurd.net
